Public Comments

  • Mark Jones (3313 Carol Circle) addressed the Council regarding flooding concerns in his neighborhood, Estelle's Country Club Estates. He stated that the new Broadmoor Heights addition is causing increased water drainage onto Southeast 33rd Street, leading to silt accumulation and potential flooding issues. He expressed concern that existing flumes are insufficient for the new water flow and that the new development appears to be using Southeast 33rd as a drain for the Broadmoor Heights addition. Mr. Jones provided maps and a video link for the Council's review, and his Ward 1 representatives indicated they would follow up on his concerns.
