FY 2025-2026 Annual Budget Approval
The City Council approved the annual budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026, adopting Resolution number 111-25. The total budget is $130,611,000, a decrease from the FY 2025 budget of $133,400,000. Key projections include:
- General Fund sales tax: $35,700,000 (1.1% less than FY25 budget).
- Use tax: $6,050,000 ($150,000 less than FY25 budget).

Eastern Avenue Reconstruction Project Amendment

Revisions included a block retaining wall for Moore Central Church of Christ's berm, adjustments to legal descriptions for property owner negotiations, and combining projects at the 12th Street intersection to secure $7 million from ACOG. Southwest 19th Street and Santa Fe Intersection Improvement Project
An agreement with Pinnacle Consulting Management Group for $103,350 was approved for right-of-way acquisition services, including title searches and appraisals for 10 parcels.
Fire Department Equipment Purchases
- Four Harris XL-185M mobile radios and associated licensing/accessories were approved for purchase from L3 Harris for $24,930.40. These radios will be used for fire station alerting systems.
- Twelve sets of Morning Pride structural firefighting bunker gear were approved for purchase from Municipal Emergency Service (MES) for $29,676. This gear will serve as loaner equipment for firefighters when their primary gear is undergoing cleaning or repairs.
Public Safety Center Backup Power System
The replacement of the Human Machine Interface (HMI) for the switchgear portion of the backup power generator system at the Public Safety Center was approved for $32,850 from Nixon Power Services. The existing computer, installed in 2021, partially failed.

Republic Services Contract Revision
